Made to the theme of “Hot & Cold” for the Strathclyde Event Interclub competition, “Molly’s Miseries” is the story of two sisters - but friends?  The film successfully won this competition, also the Scottish Association of Moviemakers Members’ Competition and The Choice of the Clubs, a Scottish Interclub Competition. It then went on to get a Platinum Award in the Cotswolds International Film Festival and a Very Highly Commended in the Guernsey Lily International Film Festival. “The Forgetful Husband” by Ken and Jean McRonald

A husband may be allowed an occasional lapse of memry but..........!!

 

Made by the Club for the 2010 Strathclyde Interclub Competition to the theme of “Teamwork”,this is about a character who insisted in telling every one he met, his life story. Having done this to three office colleagues who lunched in a park, they decided to take action as a group!

“The Swans of Broughty Ferry” by Daphne Barbieri is an interesting look at he swans by the harbour at Broughty Ferry, Dundee. This film won the Natural History Trophy in the Club’s Annual Competition.

“Use it or Lose It” by Pat Lawrence is a short comedy about the problems of memory loss.

“Dunottar Castle” by Pat Lawrence, takes a look at this very atmospheric castle just outside Stonehaven near Aberdeen in Scotland. This won the Ken McRonald Trophy at the club this year 2011 for the theme “Our Heritage”.

A one minute film “Baby Blues” by Ken and Jean McRonald in which a mother can only take so much!

“Turnips for Dinner” by Ken and Jean McRonald is based on a true story  where an abusive husband gets his just deserts.  

“Highland Fling” by Bruce Frazer is an unusual but amusing take on Highland Games.

“The Toy Train” by Daphne Barbieri takes a look at this narrow guage railway in India. This film won the Frome Five Minute Festival in 2010
